Volunteer

Without our volunteers we would not be able to continue to grow in our efforts to make disciples of Jesus Christ. You can choose to join us for a work day, volunteer for a week of camp, or bring a church group to do a work project.

Volunteers are always needed for short-term projects at the retreat center. Spring, summer and fall are critical times in which volunteers can be utilized for gardening and landscaping. There are also simple maintenance projects to be completed during that time – including carpentry, painting and beach clean up.

Thanks for volunteering! Contact Ann Emerson, director, email.

God’s Treasures Camps

God’s Treasures Camp is a program designed for adults with special needs. Volunteers receive training in camper care in a two-day session prior to the start of camp. Volunteers are expected to stay on site during the entire camp program and may be assigned one to three campers. Two nurses are on site to handle all medications and assist where needed.  All that is required to volunteer is a heart of compassion and love! We’ll take care of the rest!

We had an incredible evening last night at God’s Treasures Camp! First, we had magic by John…who allowed some of our campers to be his assistant and perform magic with him! And then we ended our evening with a campfire built by our awesome counselor, Bob! We also enjoyed s’mores and watermelon slices and singing songs like Pharaoh, Pharaoh and others! ...
